Trinka is a potato chips brand available in the African market. The challenge for us was to design a character that resonates with the African culture. Research led us to discover several key cultural identifiers, such as the traditional African masks that are still used today in many rituals. Just like those masks, the character has exaggerated facial expressions and unconventional features, which gave it a unique look and helped Trinka become a well-known chips brand on the market shelves.
